Kinetic Theater for the Historical Imagination

is an interactive film that explores a looking-glass version of Los Angeles. L.A’s photographic archive is mined for fictional traces of an alternative past, mirroring the way the city itself is always standing in for other imaginary spaces. The Los Angeles we know fades - empty beaches, oil derricks, trains in the night appear in ghostly stereoscopy.
